Driving directions to Dove Oaks Farm




1. From Interstate 77 at Hillsville VA
Take Exit 14 (US58/US221 west through Galax to Independence. From the second traffic light at the intersection of US58 and US21 in Independence, go west nine miles to Fox Creek Road (VA711). As a reference point you will pass a Marathon Oil convenience store on your left seven miles from the light in Independence. Turn right on Fox Creek Road and follow it for 5.25 miles to a stop sign. You will cross Middle Fox Creek several times on this route. Be sure to stay on the paved road. Turn left at the stop sign onto Flat Ridge Road (VA658). Go one mile to Crossroads Store on your left. The store has gas pumps, but it is now closed. Turn left onto Pine Branch Road (VA733) immediately past the store. Go 1/4 mile and see a chain link fence on the left. Follow the chain link fence to Llama Lane, on your left, across from a little two story house, tan with green roof and shutters. Turn onto Llama Lane and follow the chain link fence up the hill. You will see the large barn. Turn left onto the first drive way you come to. There is a small barn marking the drive. Follow the drive to the house and big barn. Phone number is 276 579-2323.


2. From the north, Interstate 81 (northern Virginia)
Heading south on I81, exit onto southbound I77 (exit 81), and go to exit 14 in Virginia. Then follow the directions from I77 above.


3. From the south, Interstate 81 (Tennessee and southwest Virginia)
Take I81 to exit 45 in Marion. At exit 45 get on VA16 south. Follow it through Sugar Grove (8 miles) and then Troutdale (8 miles). About four miles south of Troutdale, you will head up a hill and there will be a chain link fence and two story brick store on your left. It has gas pumps, and its name is Hoffman Store. Turn left there on VA658 (Flat Ridge Road). Stay on Flat Ridge Road for about four miles and you will arrive at a small complex of buildings. On the right is Crossroads Store (gas pumps), but the store is closed. Turn right immediately before the store on Pine Branch Road (VA733). It is a gravel road. Go about 1/4 mile and see a chain link fence on your left. Continue a little ways and there will be a tan two story house with a green roof on the right. Across from this house is Llama Lane. Go up Llama Lane, following the chain link fence. You will see a large barn on the left. At the first gravel drive to your left you will see a small sign for Dove Oaks Farm. Turn left here. There is a small barn on the left at this drive. Continue on to the house and big barn.


4. From the south, Interstate 77 (North Carolina)
Take Interstate 77 north to Hillsville VA (exit 14) and follow directions listed at the top of this page.


5. From the south, Boone, Jefferson, or Wilkesboro areas
Take NC16 north into Virginia, to the intersection with US58 at the stopsign in Mouth of Wilson VA. Turn left onto US58 and go 7.2 miles to Flat Ridge Road (VA658). There will be a chain link fence and two story brick store on your right. It has gas pumps, and its name is Hoffman Store. Turn right and stay on Flat Ridge Road for about four miles and you will arrive at a small complex of buildings. On the right is Crossroads Store (gas pumps), but the store is closed. 6. From the north, along the Interstate 77 corridor
Take Interstate 77 south to the intersection with Interstate 81 in Wytheville. Take Interstate west to exit 46 in Marion VA and follow the instructions in paragraph 3 above.
