Snuggle up

Llamas are attentive, devoted mothers. Females are first bred at about 24 months of age. They are induced ovulators and can be bred at any time of year, so you can choose the season to have your babies. A female delivers one offspring in about 50 weeks. Twins are very rare. Birthing usually takes place during daylight hours. The cria is usually up and nursing shortly after birth. Mother and cria bond quickly and are a joy to watch. Return
